Melbourne has the third largest tram network in the world, with an amazing 245 kilometres of double track.
Melbourne’s trams provide convenient and frequent travel through Melbourne’s inner suburbs.
Most tram lines start from or travel through Melbourne’s CBD, but some exceptions exist. These are called Inner suburb services.
Trams services operate seven days a week.
Trams run between 5am and 1am between Monday and Thursday, 5am to 2am Friday and Saturday and 7am to 12am Sunday.
Tram services operate later on Friday and Saturday nights from the city between midnight and 2am.
